1. Introduction
Premio Technologies Private Limited ("Premio", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you use the Premio mobile application ("App") and related services. This Policy is compliant with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Identity data: Full name, mobile phone number, profile photograph.
- Professional data (Servicers): Profession, skills, years of experience, service area, availability schedule.
- Financial data: UPI ID or bank account number and IFSC code (for Servicer payouts). We do not store full card numbers.
- Identity verification: Aadhaar number and OTP (for Servicer KYC). Processed via a government-approved KYC partner; we store only verification status and masked Aadhaar reference.
- Communications: Messages sent through the in-app chat.
- Reviews and ratings: Feedback you submit about other users.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Location data: GPS coordinates when you use the App (to show nearby jobs/servicers). You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings.
- Device data: Device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, push notification tokens.
- Usage data: Features accessed, screens viewed, buttons tapped, timestamps.
- Network data: IP address, network type.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Payment data: Transaction status, order IDs, and payment method type from Razorpay. We do not receive or store full card/UPI credentials.
- Notification delivery data: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token status from Google Firebase.
3. How We Use Your Data
3.1 Platform Operations
- To create and manage your account.
- To match Providers with nearby Servicers.
- To facilitate bookings, payments, and payouts.
- To enable in-app communication between Providers and Servicers.
- To send push notifications about job updates, messages, and payment status.
3.2 Safety and Trust
- To verify Servicer identity through Aadhaar KYC.
- To investigate and resolve disputes.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
3.3 Platform Improvement
- To analyse usage patterns and improve App features.
- To train AI models that power job matching and price suggestions (using aggregated, anonymised data).
- To conduct internal research and analytics.
3.4 Legal and Compliance
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and court orders.
- To respond to lawful requests from government authorities.
- To enforce our Terms and Conditions.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
- Contract performance: Processing necessary to fulfil our contract with you (account management, payments, bookings).
- Legitimate interests: Fraud prevention, platform security, analytics, and service improvement.
- Consent: Location data, marketing communications, and optional profile features. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: Compliance with Indian tax laws, GST reporting, and government directives.
5. Data Sharing
5.1 With Other Users
Your name, profile photo, profession, rating, and service area are visible to other users as part of the platform's core functionality. Your phone number is never displayed publicly; calls are facilitated through masked number technology.
5.2 With Service Providers
We share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the platform:
- Razorpay: Payment processing and Servicer payouts.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Cloud infrastructure, data storage (hosted in ap-south-2, Hyderabad).
- Google Firebase: Push notifications and analytics.
- Twilio: Masked voice call facilitation.
- OpenAI / AI providers: Job description analysis and price suggestion features (anonymised data only).
All service providers are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
5.3 Legal Disclosures
We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or government request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Premio, our users, or the public.
5.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
5.5 What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not share your precise real-time location with other users.
- We do not share your financial account details with Providers.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specific retention periods:
- Account data: Retained for 3 years after account deletion, as required for financial compliance and dispute resolution.
- Transaction and payment records: 7 years, as required under Indian tax law.
- Chat messages: 1 year from the date of the conversation.
- KYC verification records: As required by applicable regulations.
- Usage and analytics data: 2 years in identifiable form; thereafter anonymised indefinitely.
You may request earlier deletion of certain data types, subject to legal retention obligations.
7. Your Rights Under DPDP Act 2023
7.1 Right to Access
You may request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and the purposes for which it is processed. Submit requests to: privacy@premio.inc.
7.2 Right to Correction
You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data. Most data can be updated directly in the App settings.
7.3 Right to Erasure
You may request deletion of your personal data. We will honour such requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations. Account deletion can be initiated in-app or by emailing privacy@premio.inc.
7.4 Right to Grievance Redressal
You may contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@premio.inc for any privacy concern. We will respond within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.
7.5 Right to Nominate
You may nominate another individual to exercise your data rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity. Contact us for the nomination process.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete such data immediately. If you believe a minor has used the App, please contact privacy@premio.inc.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including:
- Data encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
- Secure credential storage using device-level secure enclave.
- JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens and rotating refresh tokens.
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Cookies and Tracking
The App does not use browser cookies. We use mobile analytics SDKs (Firebase Analytics) to collect anonymised usage data. You may opt out of analytics data collection through the App settings under Profile > Notification Settings. We do not use cross-app tracking or share advertising identifiers with third-party advertisers.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data is primarily stored and processed within India on AWS infrastructure in the Hyderabad (ap-south-2) region. Certain service providers (e.g., OpenAI for AI features) may process data outside India. Such transfers are governed by standard contractual clauses and appropriate safeguards to ensure your data receives equivalent protection.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through a prominent in-app notification and, where required by law, obtain your consent. The date at the top of this Policy reflects the most recent update. Your continued use of the App after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
